LIFEGUARDS

The Park Inn by Radisson Waterpark is seeking to hire individuals with a desire to serve as Lifeguards.  Daily activity includes; but is not limited to, watching pools for safety and compliance, rescuing and administering first aid, and above all great guest service.  As a lifeguard you will be working in a hot and humid environment and will be standing or walking during the majority of your shift.  We are looking for highly motivated, friendly, and outgoing individuals to join our ranks and help continue our tradition of excellence.

The Radisson Waterpark trains its staff in the International Lifeguard Training Program developed by Jeff Ellis & Associates, Inc.  This is the same training used by 90% of the world’s waterparks.  This is a course that is designed for the professional lifeguard.  In addition to the aquatic skills, this course includes First Aid, CPR: for the Professional Rescuer, Supplemental Oxygen and Automated External Defibrillator Training, and how to be a professional lifeguard. 

• Lifeguard candidates must be 16 years of age.
• Be able to swim 50 yards, without stopping.
• Swim underwater at a depth of 5 feet for a distance of 10 feet and retrieve a 10 pound object from the bottom of the pool.
• Candidates must pass a written examination with a grade no less than 80%; pass a practical examination of aquatic skills; and exhibit the traits of a professional lifeguard at all times.
